Doveton CCU provides community‑based residential psychosocial rehabilitation for adults aged 18–64 who experience serious mental illness and associated psychosocial challenges. Our service offers a supportive, home‑like environment where consumers can continue their recovery journey, build independence, and develop the skills required for successful transition back into the community.

 

We are seeking a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) Grade 3 to join our enhanced community team as an Associate Nurse Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary group of mental health clinicians while contributing to the ongoing development of service excellence and consumer‑focused care.

 

About the Role

 

As an Associate Nurse Manager at Doveton CCU, you will:

  • Provide high‑quality psychiatric nursing care using a recovery‑oriented, evidence‑based approach
  • Deliver clinical leadership, including supporting junior staff, modelling best practice, and contributing to clinical decision‑making
  • Work collaboratively with consumers, families/carers, and the multidisciplinary team
  • Assist consumers in developing functional, daily‑living, and independent‑living skills
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, therapeutic, home‑like residential environment
  • Participate in service development, quality activities, and continuous improvement initiatives

 

About You

 

We are looking for a clinician who brings:

  • Strong psychiatric nursing knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership capability, including mentorship and role‑modelling
  • A commitment to recovery‑oriented, person‑centred care
  • Highly effective communication and collaborative practice skills
  • A passion for supporting consumers to achieve sustainable and meaningful recovery outcomes
