About the Role:

Join the dynamic ICU team at Dandenong Hospital as an Associate Nurse Manager in either a Part-Time or Full-Time ongoing capacity, working on a rotating roster. As an experienced Associate Nurse Manager, you'll showcase your expertise in management, leadership, and Critical Care Nursing.

The Associate Nurse Manager position is an exciting and challenging one.  You will be a role model; delivering and supporting the delivery of evidence-based practice.  Responsibilities will be in the risk mitigation strategies you advocate; accountability for the professional development of yourself and others, while also supporting adequate skill mix to deliver outstanding care. 

You will:

  • Role model nursing excellence
  • Work collaboratively to support the Nurse Manager to provide effective, visible leadership and supervision across the team
  • Clearly communicate clinical and behavioural expectations to employees
  • Participate in developing others including orientation, preceptorship, mentoring and succession planning
  • Demonstrate a commitment to organisational-driven change

Our journey across critical care and ICU at Monash Health

In support of the growing needs of the community, our four Intensive Care Units at Monash Medical Centre Clayton, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital and Victorian Heart Hospital provide Victorians across the South East, with faster access to critical care and highly skilled staff when they need it most. 

Dandenong Hospital- is a 14-bed unit specializing in Colorectal, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Vascular, and General Medicine patients.

No two days will be the same, and our Adult Intensive Care Units work uniquely while collaborating with stakeholders and teams across all sites as one Program.

 About You:

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

You have experience and proven ANM experience with previous exposure to Critical Care in a hospital setting. You are a dedicated and compassionate nurse and leader who is enthusiastic about further developing your career and supporting those around you.

What you need:

  • Critical Care Post Graduate certification or similar such as ED is essential
  • Recent experience in Intensive Care
  • Excellent time management and communication skills 
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • A willingness to learn & grow your leadership capabilities through commitment to a quality portfolio.
