About the Role
Join our team as an Associate Nurse Manager in a part-time, ongoing position working out of Dandenong Hospital – Emergency Department.
This is a clinical leadership role representing an integral link between the nursing and the broader leadership team. You will be approachable, articulate, and a mentor who leads by example. You’ll thrive supporting nurses whilst working closely with the Nurse Manager to help drive the operational requirements and key performance indicators (KPI’s) of the department to deliver outstanding patient centred emergency care.
About Us
The Dandenong Hospital Emergency Department is responsible for approximately 70,000 emergency presentations annually and is a mixed ED seeing both adults and paediatrics. The department has 20 short stay and 32 main cubicles and our four resuscitation cubicles, decontamination facilities and two isolation rooms. There are also dedicated facilities for patients with Mental Health needs.
About You
You are a proven Registered Nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to commit to team work and ongoing professional development that align with our programs, values and vision.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Patient-centred, high quality care to individuals presenting to the Emergency Department
- Be a role model and mentor, fostering collaboration and teamwork among like-minded colleagues
- Excited to actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives to uphold and enhance best practice standards within the program
In addition:
- Emergency Department ANM experience essential
- You are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHRPA)
- Availability to work across a 24/7 hour roster
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check
