About the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated nurse to join our dynamic Theatres team as Associate Nurse Manager at Dandenong Hospital.

 

  • This is a Permanent Full-Time position | 76 hours per fortnight (1 EFT)

 

About Us:

Dandenong Hospital has 8 Operating Theatres and cater for a wide variety of surgical specialities including orthopaedics, plastics, and obstetrics, and gynaecology, ENT, colorectal, maxillofacial and general procedures. With co-located medical and post-surgical wards, we support our patients through their stay at Monash Health.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scrub/Scout ANUM to lead and support the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery portfolio while also contributing to safe and effective theatre operations through proactive floor coordination.

 

 

 

About You:

 

You are an experienced perioperative Scrub/Scout nurse with strong clinical capability and a passion for leadership. You demonstrate:

  • Advanced skills in Scrub/Scout nursing, ideally with experience in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Confidence and competence in coordinating theatre activity and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and staff wellbeing.
  • A collaborative, supportive, and solution‑focused approach.

Essential:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Post Graduate in Perioperative desired
  • Significant Scrub/Scout experience in a perioperative setting
  • Demonstrated leadership capability or prior acting ANUM experience
