About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a permanent Clinical Coach Role within the Dandenong Emergency Department.
We require a highly skilled critical care emergency trained nurse with a passion for education and developing a crucial workforce. This role includes providing:
· Supporting contemporary education that promotes best practice standards
· Clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels novice to expert
· Demonstrating and promoting expertise and best practice standards
· Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
· Utilises resources such as the professional development framework to support a flexible and highly skilled
About us:
The Emergency Department (ED) Dandenong Hospital is responsible for approximately 70,000 emergency presentations annually and is a mixed ED seeing both adults and paediatrics. The department has 20 short stay and 32 mains cubicles and our four resuscitation cubicles, decontamination facilities and two isolation rooms. There are also dedicated facilities for patients with Mental Health needs and an 20 bed adult short stay unit.
No two days will be the same as we treat babies to the elderly, across a wide range of specialties including Trauma, orthopaedics, plastics and colorectal.
You’ll thrive on the challenge that comes from working in a fast-paced setting, knowing you are well supported by highly skilled Nursing, Medical, Allied Health and Administrative teams.
Support the Nurse Manager to grow and mentor our nursing professionals as they also grow their passion, skill and drive in emergency nursing.
About You:
You are a highly skilled nurse with well-developed clinical skills and excel in engagement, communication and collaboration within the team environment. You have a passion for and experience in supporting learners. You will have or working towards post graduate qualifications in critical care emergency nursing. You can confidently demonstrate the following:
· Commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills
· Developing leadership and the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
· Ability to show initiative and work independently when required
· A well-developed understanding of different teaching and learning styles, and able to demonstrate high quality creation, delivery and evaluation of your teaching via various modalities.
What You Need:
· Current AHPRA registration
· Experience in Emergency Nursing (Minimum five years)
· Minimum graduate certificate qualification in Emergency Nursing
