About Us - Forensic Mental Health in Community Health
The Forensic Mental Health in Community Health (FMHiCH) Program is required to provide an efficient, high quality and comprehensive service to adults aged 18 years and over on Corrections orders or parole residing in the City Of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia areas. The FMHiCH Program is a comprehensive mental health and broader health evidence-informed service. The aim of the FMHICH Program is to assist eligible individuals to access the mental health care they need and enable them to satisfy the requirement of their Mental Health and Treatment Rehabilitation (MHTR) condition while reducing their recidivism risk. It is intended that this Program will assist with providing timely and appropriate assessment and treatment to those who require it, and reduce risk to the community.
About the Role
The Forensic Mental Health in Aboriginal Clinician will function as a member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and will support the Team Leader and Manager in the deliverance of the Forensic Mental Health in Community Health Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) participants on a Corrections Order or parole.
In addition, dependent on your qualifications, you will be responsible for a range of clinical services including treatment coordination, intake, mental state examinations, risk assessments, care planning, case management and discharge planning.
