Apply your specialist midwifery skills in a position with the Extended postnatal team at Monash Women’s, Dandenong
Join our team as a EPC Co-Ordinator on an ongoing basis - 16 hours per fortnight, to work at Dandenong Maternity - EPC Services.
The Extended Postnatal Care Coordinator performs as a strategic leader, providing day to day assistance and support for the EPC Midwife Manager to ensure a high standard of service provision. We have an opportunity for a Registered Midwife to rotate through EPC to gain experience and grow your career in Maternity.
About Us:
Monash Women’s provides an extended postnatal care service – which provides women with midwifery follow-up at home, to ensure all is well with mother and baby post discharge from hospital. The service helps smooth the transition to home life and provides a check pf both physical and mental health and provides support for feeding, sleeping, breastfeeding and linking a families to additional care if it is required.
Our Maternity team in EPC recognises the needs and acknowledges the dignity, culture and values of the individual woman and her family. We aim to empower all childbearing women and their families within a service that embraces both continuity of philosophy and consistency of advice and information.
About You:
You are an experienced Registered Midwife and you will be inspired every day working with likeminded, passionate colleagues who share the same values and the same purpose as you. Monash Health is on journey of innovation and change. You will look forward to embracing this as we are undertake a lot of exciting new projects in our midwifery home visiting service.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Demonstrate experience in Maternity and EPC and ideally, worked in the position of co-ordinator in the past.
- Demonstrated experience in Post Natal, lactation and domiciliary care
- Demonstrated Leadership capability
- Collaborative approach to providing women centred care
- Self direction in your professional development
- Work in collaboration with other EPC Co-ordinators and leadership team, as well as demonstrating the ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated ability to manage change
- Provide clinical and administrative management of the EPC under direction of the Unit Manager
