About the Role:

Join our team as an Environmental Services Assistant on a part time ongoing basis to work at Dandenong Hospital in the Waste Management Team. Hours for this role are Wednesday – Saturday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Environmental cleaning
  • Cleaning of floors surfaces
  • Cleaning stairwells, windows, window ledges and other surfaces
  • Bathroom and toilet cleaning

About Us:

 The General Services Department at Dandenong Hospital requires an Environmental Services Assistant to work as part of our Waste Management Team. This team is responsible for the daily collection of the various waste streams through-out the hospital that is produced during the daily servicing of the hospital’s patients. It will include, but not limited to the collection of General waste, Co-mingle waste, Clinical waste, Food waste, Anatomical Waste, Recycled waste, pharmaceutical waste, Cytotoxic waste and more.

About You:

The ideal candidate will enjoy working within a committed team, with a good understanding on infection control cleaning processes within a cleaning process within a health care setting. The Environmental Services Assistant plays a key role in supporting our clinical and non-clinical services to achieve strict infection control standards.
