About the Role
Join our General Services team as an Environmental Services Assistant, performing cleaning duties on a part time ongoing basis.
You will be rostered to work the following shifts each week subject to the position that is applied for:
Position 1: Overnight Emergency Department - ESA -75 hrs per fortnight
Week 1 Saturday to Wednesday 2300 - 0700 - 7.5hrs
Week 2 Saturday to Wednesday 2300 - 0700 - 7.5hrs
Week 3 Saturday to Wednesday 2300 - 0700 - 7.5hrs
Week 4 Saturday to Wednesday 2300 - 0700 - 7.5hrs
Position 2: Overnight Emergency Department - ESA - 30 hrs per fortnight
Week 1 Thursday to Friday 2300 - 0700 - 7.5hrs
Week 2 Thursday to Friday 2300 - 0700 - 7.5hrs
Week 3 Thursday to Friday 2300 - 0700 - 7.5hrs
Week 4 Thursday to Friday 2300 - 0700 - 7.5hrs
Position 3 : Overnight Operating Theatre ESA - 48 hrs per fortnight
Week 1 Monday to Wednesday 2000 - 0430 - 8hrs
Week 2 Monday to Wednesday 2000 - 0430 - 8hrs
Week 3 Monday to Wednesday 2000 - 0430 - 8hrs
Week 4 Monday to Wednesday 2000 - 0430 - 8hrs
Position 4: General Cleaning - Outpatients & Public Areas. ESA - 60 hrs per fortnight
Week 1 Monday to Friday 1430 - 2100 - 6 hrs
Week 2 Monday to Friday 1430 - 2100 - 6 hrs
Week 3 Monday to Friday 1430 - 2100 - 6 hrs
Week 4 Monday to Friday 1430 - 2100 - 6 hrs
Position 5: Diagostic Imaging & Angio - ESA - 52.5 hrs per fortnight
Week 1 Wednesday to Friday 0630 - 1430 - 7.5hrs / Saturday to Sunday 0900 to 1700 - 7.5hrs
Week 2 Thursday to Friday 0630 to 1430 - 7.50hrs
Week 3 Wednesday to Friday 0630 - 1430 - 7.5hrs / Saturday to Sunday 0900 to 1700 - 7.5hrs
Week 4 Thursday to Friday 0630 to 1430 - 7.50hrs
Positon 6 : Laundry ESA - 48 hrs per fortnight.
Week 1 Monday to Thursday 1330 -2000 - 6 hrs
Week 2 Monday to Thursday 1330 -2000 - 6 hrs
Week 3 Monday to Thursday 1330 -2000 - 6 hrs

Position 7 : AUU & Laundry ESA - 54 hrs per fortnight
Week 1 AAU- Thursday to Friday 0700 - 1500 - 7.5hrs / Laundry - Saturday to Sunday 0700 - 1330 - 6hrs
Week 2 AAU- Thursday to Friday 0700 - 1500 - 7.5hrs / Laundry - Saturday to Sunday 0700 - 1330 - 6hrs
Week 3 AAU- Thursday to Friday 0700 - 1500 - 7.5hrs / Laundry - Saturday to Sunday 0700 - 1330 - 6hrs
Week 4 AAU- Thursday to Friday 0700 - 1500 - 7.5hrs / Laundry - Saturday to Sunday 0700 - 1330 - 6hrs
Position 8: AAU ESA - 15 hrs per fortnight
Week 1 Saturday 0700 - 1500 - 7.5hrs
Week 2 Saturday 0700 - 1500 - 7.5hrs

Week 4 Saturday 0700 - 1500 - 7.5hrs
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Environmental cleaning

Cleaning of floors surfaces

Cleaning stairwells, windows, window ledges and other surfaces

Bathroom and toilet cleaning

Waste management
About Us
Support Services is responsible for non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
About You
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment

Clear understanding of the Victorian Public Hospital Cleaning Standards
-
Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
-
Effective organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
-
Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
-
Ability to understand, follow and implement written instructions and company procedures
-
The ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality
-
A “Can Do” attitude with the capability to problem solve and troubleshoot
-
Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
-
Excellent verbal & written communication skills

A commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail

Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks

Is able to work unsupervised but take direction
