About the Role

Are you a passionate and experienced healthcare leader looking to make a meaningful difference?

 

This is a rare opportunity to lead Monash Health's highly regarded Refugee Health and Wellbeing Program, a specialised service dedicated to improving health outcomes for refugees and people seeking asylum.

 

Based within Public Health and Priority Populations in Dandenong, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative, culturally responsive and person-centred care. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will drive service excellence, foster a positive team culture and shape the future direction of this impactful service.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team recognised for excellence in refugee and asylum seeker health
  • Drive innovation, service improvement and evidence-based practice to deliver outstanding health outcomes
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive workplace culture focused on patient outcomes and staff wellbeing
  • Build strong partnerships across Monash Health and the broader community
  • Lead the delivery and growth of specialised programs that make a genuine difference in people's lives

About You

You are an experienced and compassionate healthcare leader with a passion for improving health outcomes for vulnerable communities. With a strong clinical background and experience leading multidisciplinary teams, you bring a collaborative leadership style, strategic thinking and a commitment to service excellence.

 

You will also have:

  • Experience leading health services or programs, ideally within refugee health, public health or other priority population settings
  • An understanding of the social determinants of health and the barriers impacting equitable access to care
  • Experience driving service improvement, innovation and evidence-based practice
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and influence positive outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering inclusive, high-performing teams
  • A current Victorian Driver Licence
