About the Role
Our Acute Community Intervention Service (ACIS) provides intensive short-term treatment for people in crisis who are experiencing acute mental illness and live in the catchments of Dandenong, Springvale and Patterson Lakes. We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified mental health clinician to join our diverse and friendly team in a part time role (0.8 EFT)
In joining us you would be working a rotating roster as the service operates on a 24-hour, seven days a week basis, available to clients aged 16-64 during business hours and to clients of all ages after hours. We provide a supportive, flexible, and responsive service working with both consumers, their families and the greater community.
About You
Our team members come from a variety of clinical backgrounds and to be considered for this role you must be either:

Registered Nurse Division 1 with current registration with AHPRA

Occupational Therapist Grade 2
-
Social Worker Grade 2.

Registered Nurse Division 1 with Current registration with AHPRA

Hold a Post Graduate Mental Health Nursing Qualifications, or relevant mental health nursing endorsement
-
You are an experienced Mental Health Clinician with previous experience in Mental health settings and demonstrate a sound clinical knowledge within the acute setting. Dual diagnosis qualifications or experience are desirable but not a requirement.

You also have excellent communication skills and engagement with clients, and their families within the multidisciplinary team setting.

You will also work collaboratively with the various components of the service and provide leadership to the team on a shift-by-shift basis when required.

The role provides the enviable opportunity to develop your capabilities of working within a culturally diverse community and extending your knowledge and skills at liaising with external agencies.

You hold a full Victorian driver's licence without restrictions.
