About the Role
The Youth Mental Health clinician provides mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions for vulnerable youth/ emerging adults and their families. The role is embedded within a multi-disciplinary team and provides support to young people (aged 12-25 years) with complex mental health needs. Our Recovery and Prevention of Psychosis Team (RAPPT) support young people with first episode psychosis and offers flexible service delivery, with a combination of clinic based, outreach, group and telehealth appointments.
The Youth Mental Health clinician role is within RAPPT and works collaboratively with broader Young Person’s Mental Health Service and Monash Health Mental Health Program. The role is for mental health clinician with training, qualifications and experience in assessing and providing mental health interventions for young people who present with psychosis and associate risk factors.

About You
You are dedicated and passionate about youth mental health. You enjoy working with people who face complex issues and have a strong commitment to family inclusive practice. You have great skills in care coordination, family work and therapeutic, evidence-based interventions. You are have a resilient personality and you are a person who lives our iCARE values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence. We are looking for someone with:
- Qualifications and relevant registrations in at least one of the following: Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Speech Pathology.
- Capacity to work independently and within a team
- A friendly and professional attitude
- Excellent engagement, relationship and therapeutic skills.
- Resilience and strong work ethics

Requirements of the Role
- Mental Health Clinician
- Community Case Management experience an advantage.
- Post registration experience in mental health
