About the Role 

Monash Health is seeking an experienced and detailfocused Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Dataset Compliance Officer to join our Mental Health Reporting team. In this key role, you will support highquality, compliant reporting across Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol programs, ensuring data is accurate, timely and aligned with Department of Health business rules.  

Working closely with clinical, administrative, IT and business intelligence teams, you will undertake data quality audits, remediation activities and system testing, and provide expert guidance on reporting requirements. You will play an important role in reviewing and improving business processes, resolving data integrity issues, and supporting Activity Based Funding outcomes through accurate reporting.  

 

This role is ideal for someone with strong health data knowledge, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You’ll be confident engaging with staff at all levels, providing training, developing user documentation, and translating complex reporting rules into practical guidance. Experience with patient administration systems, Department of Health reporting and an understanding of mental health or drug and alcohol datasets will be highly regarded.

About You:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products 

  • Experience using Patient Administration Systems e.g. IPM. CMI 

  • Working knowledge of data entry and business processes within health services 

  • Understanding of Department of Health guidelines and policies including ABF 

  • Demonstrated commitment to high quality outcomes and attention to detail 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to relate to staff at all levels 

  • Planning,organisational and time management skills
