About the Role:
Join our team as a Maternity Manager, on a fixed term, 80 hours per fortnight opportunity. Experience Management and support the team commencing 30th December 2024 until 4th January 2026, to work at Pregnancy Clinic based at Dandenong Hospital – Monday to Friday.
In this leadership role, as Midwife Manager, you will be responsible for the management and leadership of the Jade team Maternity Clinics - Fetal Surveillance. Working with your team to care for antenatal women, you will lead a dynamic, professional group and will be accountable for the clinical, financial and human resource management of your area.
Working closely with your team on a daily basis you will coordinate your pregnancy clinics weekly. Together with Team Leaders at each of our sites, you will encourage and support Monash Women’s model of practice to ensure women receive consistently high quality, safe care throughout their journey.
The position involves working a combination of Clinical and Management shifts.

About You:
You are an experienced midwife, passionate about midwifery, with a demonstrated commitment to empowering childbearing women and their families within a service that embraces consistency of advice and continuity of philosophy. You consistently role-model midwifery excellence and are a proven leader of people, motivating your team to work effectively together in a clinical setting. You will be inspired everyday working with like-minded, passionate colleagues who share your values and purpose.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Postgraduate midwifery experience, including an Associate Manager or equivalent leadership role
- Demonstrated experience and recency of practice in both leadership and clinical excellence within Pregnancy Care clinics is essential due to the nature of the role.
- Skills in leading the planning, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of midwifery care at a consistently high standard
- A commitment to supporting midwives the opportunity to gain and maintain full scope of practice
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to achieve goals and health outcomes
- Sound communication skills, enabling the development and maintenance of effective working relationships with health professionals, support staff and other stakeholders, both internal and external to Monash Health
- Excellent organisational skills, time management, analytical and problem solving skills
- A commitment to safe practice, utilising a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards
