An exciting full-time leadership opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Nurse, Allied Health professional or Instrument technician to lead Sterilising Services at Dandenong Hospital
About the Role:
Join our team as a Manager- Sterilising Services in a full-time ongoing role leading a team of 35 highly skilled Instrument Technicians and work collaboratively with all other Monash Health Sterilising Services teams.
The sterilising Services Manager is a leadership role responsible for the safe delivery of sterile reusable medical devices for all wards and departments.
You will be a role model, delivering and supporting evidence-based practice. Responsibilities will be in the risk mitigation strategies you advocate, accountability for professional development of yourself and others, whilst also supporting adequate skill mix.
About Us:
Sterilising services at Dandenong support 8 operating suites with surgical specialties inclusive but not limited to orthopaedic, plastic, colorectal vascular and obstetric services.
We are a 24-hour service that has recently undergone refurbishment utilising computerised tracking system.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

What you need:
- Have a certificate IV Sterilising Services or equivalent
- For Nurses - Current AHPRA registration and willingness to work towards Certificate IV in Sterilisation.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of AS 5369 , GENCA and associated international standards relevant to sterilisation processes
- Knowledge of computerised tracking system is desirable
