About the Role:
Join our team as a Grade 3 Physiotherapist on a full-time ongoing basis, leading the Orthopaedic inpatient Physiotherapy service at Dandenong Hospital.
In this exciting role, you will utilise your high-level clinical reasoning, knowledge and skills in inpatient orthopaedic physiotherapy to manage adult and paediatric patients post trauma and during elective admissions. Working collaboratively with Senior Orthopaedic surgeons, allied health and nursing staff to ensure the best care for Monash Health patients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provision of high standard of physiotherapy services to Orthopaedic patients to facilitate safe, effective, person-centred care
- Leading inpatient team with Grade 2 and 1 Physiotherapists along with Allied Health Assistants.
- Providing supervision and clinical advice to other physiotherapists and multidisciplinary colleagues including secondary consultation as required
- Developing and re-evaluating patient care protocols, collaborating with services, leading a team for optimal outcomes, and expanding orthopaedic physiotherapy to deliver efficient, effective care
- Providing operational leadership to the Physiotherapy service at Dandenong Hospital through responsibility for a department leadership portfolio

About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Demonstrated highly specialised knowledge, skills and significant experience (normally 7 years) in the provision of Orthopaedic & Musculoskeletal physiotherapy services
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to best practice care
- Ambition to grow your clinical skills and expand your knowledge
- Your proactive and team player attitude
- Your strong communication and interpersonal skills
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Special Interest Group desirable
