About the Role: 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grade 2 Podiatrist to join the Aged Services program on an ongoing Full-Time basis (1.0EFT). This unique position will work across our Aged and Community Care program, Transition Care and our Residential Allied Health Services to provide clinical care to clients in the community.  

The role provides evidence-based assessment, care planning, intervention, and discharge support for community clients. Scope includes high-risk foot care, wound management, biomechanical pathologies, and general diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders. Services are delivered through residential aged care homes and community health services with a focus on supporting client health, wellbeing, and independence. 

The position contributes to the podiatry and multidisciplinary teams through best practice clinical care, knowledge sharing, student supervision, mentoring, research, and quality improvement activities. Engagement in trans-professional practice within the multidisciplinary team is expected.  

 

About You            

As a Grade 2 Podiatrist, you will be a forward-thinking clinician who values innovation and continuous improvement, contributes fresh ideas to enhance care and outcomes. You will have ambition to develop and expand clinical expertise, along with a proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork. With your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will support effective collaboration, high-quality service delivery, and a positive, person-centred approach to care. 

What you need:    

  • Bachelor of Podiatry, Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry), Masters or Doctorate of Clinical Practice or recognised equivalent. 

  • Current Victorian drivers licence 

  • Current and Satisfactory Aged Care Clearance (Police Check/Aged Care Worker Screen)  

  • No current Aged Care Banning Orders in place (as per Register of Banning Orders) or NDIS exclusion order in place 

  • Current and Satisfactory NDIS worker screening check, and completion of the NDIS worker orientation module; Quality, safety and you 

  • Registration via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and consent to ongoing registration checks via Monash Health’s electronic credentialing system 

  • Registered with State-Wide Equipment Program
