Our Journey
The Mental Health Intellectual Disability Initiative - Adults (MHIDI-A)/Stronger together team is part of the Casey Adult Mental Health program and is located in Thomas Street, Dandenong. We provide consultation, multidisciplinary specialist assessment and treatment to people over the age of 16 years old, who have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability and a co-existing diagnosed mental health condition or suspected mental health condition (dual disability), many of whom will have complex presentations and challenging behaviours.
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Psychologist to join us, working full-time ongoing, 38 hours per week. Consideration would be given for applicants wanting to work Part Time or Job share arrangement.
A Day in the Life:

This role works in collaboration with the clinical team and a range of internal and external stakeholders, to assist in improved outcomes for consumers with diagnosed or suspected mental illness and co-existing intellectual disability (dual disability).

Opportunity to provide evidence based assessments and interventions for consumers with a dual disability, including but not limited to Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA).

Provide secondary consultation to the team and other relevant stakeholders.

This opportunity is a full-time ongoing position

The position will also work in collaboration with other team members to consolidate the Model of Care, formulate clear service policy and guidelines and ensure the service is compliant with Quality & Safety, OHS and all other areas of reporting.
