About the Role:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse on a full-time (part-time may be considered) ongoing position to work at North 3 in Dandenong Hospital.

 

This role represents an excellent opportunity for an engaged, enthusiastic and self-motivated registered nurse to work with a supportive team to provide patient centred care. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to: direct planning and providing patient care, post op surgical management, drain tube management, complex wound care, stomal care, TPN, discharge planning and working closing with the allied health team.

 

About Us:

North 3 is a 28 bed acute surgical ward specialising in colorectal surgery and gastroenterology.  We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team who work closely together to ensure that we achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients and families/carers

 

About You:

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Surgical experience in an acute surgical setting.  Colorectal and/or gastroenterology experience would benefit but we have a supportive and highly skilled team to help you gain these skills. 

  • A positives attitude and a willingness to learn and develop skills in this specialised unit
  • A passion for providing excellent care, adhering to the Monash Health ICARE standards and advocating for patients.
  • A willingness to take on portfolios and contribute to ward quality improvement projects and national standards.

  • A relevant Qualification
  • problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • ability to work well within a team
