We have permanent and fixed-term Registered Nurse opportunities available in the Dandenong Dialysis Unit.

Monash Health is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse to join our highly regarded Dandenong Dialysis team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a specialised renal service committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care, innovation, research, and professional excellence.

 

About the Service

Monash Health Dandenong operates the largest Home Dialysis Unit in Victoria. Located in Thomas Street, Dandenong, with representation at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, the service supports approximately 195 home dialysis patients living primarily across Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.

 

Dandenong Dialysis Unit is a 21-chair satellite dialysis service providing specialist renal care to the community. Our dedicated team delivers safe, high-quality dialysis treatment and supports patients throughout their kidney care journey, ensuring care is provided as close to home as possible.

 

Our multidisciplinary team comprises experienced nursing, medical and allied health professionals who work collaboratively to deliver evidence-based, person-centred care for patients living with kidney failure. As part of Monash Health's integrated Renal Program, you will have the opportunity to work across a service that values collaboration, continuity of care, innovation, and clinical excellence.

About You

We are seeking a motivated nurse who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and contributing to a positive team culture.

You will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Recent, demonstrated acute nursing experience.
  • Renal, nephrology or haemodialysis experience highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to person-centred, evidence-based care.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, professional development and lifelong learning.
  • A professional, compassionate and accountable approach to practice that reflects Monash Health values.


Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Postgraduate qualification in Renal Nursing or willingness to undertake further study.
  • Experience in dialysis, nephrology, critical care, medical or other high-acuity clinical settings.
  • Participation in quality improvement, research, education or leadership initiatives.
