About the Role
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a fixed term, part-time (February 2026) role to work at Dandenong Hospital
Dandenong Children’s Ward is looking for a passionate paediatric registered nurse to join the team, supporting the Nurse Manager and the leadership team and role modelling the nursing staff, to provide Family Centred Care as they strive for excellence. We work on Quality improvement to ensure that we are providing our patients and their families with ongoing fantastic care and positive outcomes as we aim for a fast discharge.
The opportunities within the ward, are across a seven day rotating roster across all shifts, including Night Duty
About our Monash Children’s Ward Dandenong
Dandenong Children’s Ward is an 8 bedded unit that supports the care of patients from birth to 19 years care for patients under specialities Orthopaedics, Plastics and Medical. We work in an area that has a mixed socioeconomic and culturally diverse population and we are exposed to a broad range of clinical presentations. Our experienced Nursing staff thrive on the challenges and pace of the unit and as part of this team at Dandenong Children’s you will be presented with a number of possibilities to progress your career.
About you
You are an enthusiastic Paediatric Nurse who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is willing to commit to team work and ongoing professional development that align with the Monash Children’s values and vision.
You are also:
- Passionate about paediatric nursing and supporting patients and their families throughout an admission to the unit
- enthusiastic, compassionate & able to work collaboratively

What you need
- Experience as in paediatrics is desirable however, a willingness to learn and a desire to specialise in Paediatrics is a must.
- Previous acute or subacute experience
- The ability to work across 24/7 rotating roster
- You are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHRPA);
- Australian working rights
