About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team at Dandenong Specialist Consulting Clinic.

Fixed-term permanent position available at 0.8EFT

Rotating Monday – Friday shifts. No nights or weekends!
We provide a highly collaborative and patient-centred approach to care, actively engaging with a wide range of multidisciplinary teams, including numerous Medical and Surgical specialties, Allied Health professionals, and Diagnostic Imaging services, to ensure comprehensive treatment, seamless communication, and the delivery of safe, high-quality outcomes for every patient.
As a Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Department, you will be supported every step of the way by experienced Leadership, Nursing, and Administration teams. You will have access to ongoing professional development, including education sessions and training opportunities, with the chance to enhance your clinical expertise in areas such as plaster application and removal, and the management of both simple and complex wounds.
About Us:
Dandenong Specialist Consulting Clinic is a busy service specialising in the provision of outpatient care across many specialties including Orthopaedics, Plastics, Colorectal, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Infectious diseases, Paediatrics, Oral facial and maxillary, general medicine, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology and Renal Failure
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Recent Nursing experience in specialities such as Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Dermatology and/or Colorectal Surgery.

Knowledge and experience with complex and simple wound dressings for acute and chronic wounds.

Previous experience in assisting clinicians with minor procedures.

Previous experience in removing and applying Plaster is highly desirable.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Passionate about providing a high standard of care to patients.

Previous experience working in Specialist Consulting Clinics would be desirable but not essential.

Ability to demonstrate proficient computer/ IT knowledge and skills across a range of applications, including but not limited to iPM, EMR and SMR.
