About the Department / Program 

Monash Health Refugee Health and Wellbeing operates within a person-centred care framework and embraces the social model of health, responding to both the needs of our local community and emerging population health data.  

  

About the Role 

Monash Health Refugee Health and Wellbeing is committed to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for refugee and asylum seeker communities and is currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic research officer in a permanent part time 0.4 EFT, capacity. 

As part of a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with the Monash Health Refugee Health and Wellbeing leadership team to design, implement, and evaluate key projects that drive service improvement and innovation. Operating with a high level of autonomy, the position provides strategic and operational support to the leadership team and requires strong skills in evaluation, project management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.  

Some travel may be required. 

  

About You 

If you are an experienced researcher with an interest in working with refugee communities, thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, and are committed to improving health access and equity, this role will be of interest. 

Mandatory requirements of the role: 

  • Doctor of Philosophy or working towards Doctor of Philosophy  

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in public health, health promotion or a health-related field   

  • Demonstrated experience in a research related capacitywith an interest in both qualitative and quantitative research 

  • Current registration with appropriate national registration board (if applicable).
