This is a fixed-term parental leave cover position until July 2027

 

About the Role:

Our team is a friendly, vibrant and closely-nit team, which is in high demand internally and externally. Our Recovery and Prevention of Psychosis (RAPP) team works with young people and their families at the pointy end of clinical services. The roles in this very successful, vibrant and specialist team are very sought after. Our team members are highly successful in seeking internal and external career progression opportunities due to unique, comprehensive and high-level blend of therapeutic, engagement and risk management skills and expertise they develop. This team operates from our community-based clinic, which is located close to the award-winning Dandenong Hospital’s ART Building in the vibrant City of Dandenong.  

 

About You   

You are dedicated and passionate about youth mental health. You enjoy working with people who face complex issues and have a strong commitment to family inclusive practice. You have great skills in care coordination, family work and therapeutic, evidence-based interventions. You have a resilient personality, and you are a person who lives our iCARE values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence. We are looking for someone with:   

 

  • Current general registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Authority (AHPRA) 
  • Hold AHPRA endorsement in Clinical or Forensic psychology  
  • Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) approved supervisor, or able to complete supervisor training within six months of accepting the role 
  • Minimum of five years professional experience as a Psychologist Grade 2 (or equivalent) 
  • Capacity to work independently and within a team   
  • A friendly and professional attitude   
  • Excellent engagement, relationship and therapeutic skills.   
  • Resilience and strong work ethics   

 

 

This is a Senior Psychologist position as follows:   

 

  • Psychologist – Grade 3 Year 1 - 4 

 

Selection criteria:   

 

  • Mental Health Clinician    
  • Community Case Management experience an advantage.   
  • Post registration experience in mental health
