About the Role

 

Join Monash Health's Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) as a Grade 4 Senior Clinician. This opportunity is a full time ongoing position and is open to Social Workers who are passionate about delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented mental health care.

 

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide comprehensive mental health assessment, crisis intervention and short-term treatment for consumers experiencing acute mental health concerns. The role combines community outreach with onsite assessments and works closely with consumers, families, carers, emergency departments and community partners to support people to remain safely in their community.

 

As a senior clinician, you'll also provide clinical leadership, secondary consultation, supervision and mentoring, while contributing to service improvement, education and evidence-based practice.

 

In this role, you'll:

 

  • Complete comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and recovery-focused treatment.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and secondary consultation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to coordinate care.
  • Lead quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.

Monash Health Mental Health Services provides community, inpatient and specialist mental health care across Melbourne's south-east.
The Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) provides rapid assessment, crisis intervention and short-term treatment to support consumers experiencing acute mental illness, with a strong focus on recovery and community-based care.

 

About You

 

You're an experienced mental health clinician who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on collaboration, clinical complexity and making a genuine difference. You'll bring:

 

  • Registration, or eligibility for AASW membership.
  • Significant experience in mental health, ideally within acute, crisis or community settings.
  • Advanced assessment, risk management and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Experience providing leadership, supervision or mentoring.
  • A commitment to recovery-oriented, person-centred care.
