About the Team

The Youth Mental Health clinician role is within the Youth Consultation and Treatment Team (YCTT) and works collaboratively with broader Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (Youth) (ICYAMHS) and Monash Health Mental Health Program. YCTT offer mental health assessment and treatment to young people aged 16-25 years all with any mental health condition other than psychosis. The YCTT offers flexible service delivery, with a combination of clinic-based, outreach, group and telehealth appointments. 

About the Role

Join our team as a Youth Mental Health Clinician on a part-time (4 days per week), ongoing basis to work at the Dandenong Community Health Building based at Dandenong.  In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Manager of the YCTT and working with the broader Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. 

• The YCTT offers flexible service delivery, with a combination of clinic-based, outreach, group and telehealth appointments. 
• The role is for mental health clinician with training, qualifications and experience in assessing and providing mental health interventions for young people who present with complex mental health problems and associated risk factors.
• Developing a developmental and psychological formulation to understand a young person’s mental health difficulties and inform intervention planning
• Care coordination for young people aged between 16-25 years old

About You

To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:

• Ability to build therapeutic rapport with a young person
• Demonstrate experience in working with families and the 'system' around a young person 
• Complete mental health assessment and interventions for a range of mental health presentations
