Welcome to Monash Health Library
The Monash Health Library Service includes considerable online resources and physical libraries on campus at Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong Hospital, Moorabbin Hospital, Casey Hospital and Kingston Centre. All team members work onsite and are expected to be proficient in IT, customer focused, innovative, engaged and collaborative with a focus on optimising care for Monash Health patients.
This role ideally suited for a new graduate or an application making progress towards a librarianship qualification.
About the Role
In this role, you will;

Provide front-line information services at the library’s physical and virtual service points including information and lending services, research support and handling a broad range of inquiries.

Actively contribute to maintaining a positive team culture where innovation happens.

Attend to prompt and expert supply of research materials, inter library loans and other documents.

Contribute to projects that improve online resources, education and knowledge services.

Take a flexible and inclusive approach by working at multiple library sites across Monash Health.

Contribute to a library service that is highest quality, innovative, helpful, efficient, flexible and accessible.
About You
You are passionate about a career in health libraries, empathetic, reliable, a strong communicator, and committed to delivering library services in person and virtually. You can work both independently and as part of a team.
You also possess;

A tertiary qualification (or significant progress towards) that qualifies you for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).

Valid police check clearance and working with children’s check.

A Victorian drivers licence and daily access to a car.
