About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant, to join the Monash Health Movement Disorders Clinic at Kingston Centre. This part-time (0.8 EFT), ongoing role, working alongside a highly skilled, supportive multidisciplinary team.
As an integral member of the Movement Disorders Clinic, you will provide advanced, evidence-based care to people living with Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders across outpatient and community settings. You will also play a key leadership role in weekly specialist clinics, triaging clinical urgency, completing specialised assessments, and supporting patient response to treatment.
You will collaborate closely with neurologists, geriatricians, allied health clinicians, and researchers, contributing to both clinical excellence and international clinical trials.

Monash Health’s Movement Disorders Program is a world-class service providing specialist care to people with Parkinson’s disease and related conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings. We are internationally recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Parkinson’s Foundation (USA) and actively participate in international clinical trials, offering patients access to emerging therapies.
About You
You are an experienced, motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant with a strong interest in movement disorders and research. You thrive in a specialist, multidisciplinary environment and are passionate about delivering best-practice care to clients and their carers.
You bring:
- Advanced clinical knowledge of Parkinson’s disease and complex medication management
- Experience or strong interest in clinical research and trials, including research ethics and protocols
- A commitment to quality improvement, innovation, and evidence-based practice
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to support and supervise junior staff
- Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills
- A proactive, collaborative, and patient-centred approach
Essential requirements include:
- Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 3 years post-graduate acute nursing experience
- Experience caring for people with movement disorders or progressive neurological conditions
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
