South1 GEM (Geriatric Evaluation & Management) @ Kingston Centre is 20 beds ward providing specialist assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex and multi-dimensional needs including medical, functional, and often cognitive conditions. South1 is the ward supported by multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health. South1 is dedicated to delivering patient care in line with our iCare values and ensure that all patients are treated with dignity and respect while in our care. 

About the Role 

We are currently seeking a Health Assistant in Nursing (HAN) who can support the nursing team in the delivery of safe and quality patient care by assisting patients’ personal needs and other activities including additional supervision to ensure patient safety. You will be working within the supportive nursing team that you can have clear direction from.

 

What you need: 

  • Enthusiasm, compassion & ability to work collaboratively within the team!
  • Understanding the importance of patient centred care, you have a genuine interest in working and interacting with our diverse patients, provide general support to the ward team.   
  • A current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration
  • An employee level working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) worker screening.   
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
  • Evidence of required immunisations
