About the Role
 
We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist Grade 2 – Sub-Acute to join our team on a full-time, fixed term basis, at Monash Health – Kingston Centre in our neurological stream until June 2026. As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll empower patients to engage in meaningful activities and improve their quality of life. Your day will include:
 
  • Conducting occupational assessments
  • Collaboratively setting goals with patients and the multidisciplinary team
  • Delivering occupation-based interventions that have a real impact
 
You’ll work closely with allied health, nursing, and medical staff in a supportive environment that encourages shared learning and joint treatment planning. You will have supervision and support to have hands on clinical learning with:
 
  • Grade 2 peers
  • Grade 3 occupational therapists
  • Clinical educator
  • Clinical grade 4 specialists
 
This role also offers opportunities to work across different departments and Monash Health sites, allowing you to build expertise across various clinical specialties, explore career development pathways and connect with a broad professional support network.

In this dynamic role, you’ll work across a diverse range of clinical caseloads with a primary focus on Neurorehabilitation and NDIS support. You’ll be part of a large, supportive subacute service, delivering high-quality occupational therapy in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You’ll work alongside inclusive and enthusiastic occupational therapy and allied health professionals, providing evidence-based care that truly makes a difference to patients and their families. This role is fast-paced, rewarding, and integral to delivering exceptional rehabilitation outcomes.

 
About you

You’re a compassionate and skilled clinician who thrives in a team environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care. You bring:
 
  • A patient-centred approach to care
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in subacute clinical settings and experience with a neurological caseload desired
  • A passion for enhancing occupational performance and patient experience
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in evidence-based practice, research, and service improvement
 
Qualification & licence requirements include:
 
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
