About the Role
As part of the People and Engagement team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations, you will be responsible for the People & Culture Advice telephone line, as well as email and Internet enquiries. Also, you will assist the Employee Relations Team to implement employee and industrial relations strategies driven by and consistent with the strategic direction of the Employee Relations Team and People and Culture within Monash Health.
In this ongoing, full time role you’ll be based at The Kingston Centre in Heatherton, and supported by a committed, close knit team.
About You
This is a great opportunity to apply your legal and/or human resources qualifications, and interest in employee relations, in this key advisory role. Your responsiblittes will extend to:
- Providing the initial contact point for People and Culture Advice telephone, email and Internet enquiries from employees and managers within Monash Health and also external to the organisation.
- Resolving the enquiries in an accurate, cost effective and timely manner.
- Acquire and sustain a deep knowledge of applicable enterprise agreements and relevant legislation and case law, and their application to Monash Health.
- Assisting the Employee Relations Team in reviewing and maintaining People and Culture policies and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance with industrial obligations.
- Assisting the Employee Relations Team in implementing enterprise agreements including internal stakeholders (line management, Payroll and IT).
- Gaining respect as an approachable, courteous and informed HR professional within Monash Health.
Your qualifications, skills and experience
- Undergraduate Degree in Law or Human Resources with an interest in employee relations.
- Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
