About the Role:
Join our team as a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist on a part-time fixed-term (0.60 EFT / 45.6 hours per fortnight) basis until September 2026, based within the Kingston Rehabilitation Team, with opportunities to also work across other Monash Health Community Rehabilitation sites.
This role is ideal for a passionate and collaborative clinician who places patient experience at the centre of their practice. You will contribute to providing best practice, evidence-based care within the Community Rehabilitation Program, supporting optimal client outcomes and service effectiveness.
Working closely with Senior Clinician Speech Pathologists and Team Leaders, you will play a key role in developing organisational capability and fostering strong partnerships both within and outside of Monash Health.
Drawing on your expertise in rehabilitation and community-based practice, you will provide assessment and intervention as part of a multidisciplinary team of Allied Health, Nursing and Rehabilitation specialists. This position offers the opportunity to work with a high level of autonomy, think creatively, and deliver high-quality therapy services in both centre-based and community settings, including clients’ homes.
Opportunities to be involved in quality improvement activities and clinical education will also form part of this role.

The Monash Health Community Rehabilitation Service actively engages with people to improve and maintain health, independence and well- being. We do this by providing integrated, inter- disciplinary care across multiple settings in the community. Our aim is to assist clients live their best lives by enabling them to access support when they need it.
Community Rehabilitation services may include therapy at home, at one of our centres and/or tele-rehabilitation consultations. We offer group and individual rehabilitation to adults in the community setting. The service is time limited, goal focussed and tailored to each person.
We deliver quality, person-centred care that considers each individual’s life and goals. Working collaboratively across disciplines, we approach our work with innovation, a can-do attitude, and a belief that every change or challenge brings new opportunity.
About You:
To thrive in this role you will bring the following:
- A recognised degree in Speech Pathology (Bachelor or Master level), including overseas qualifications assessed by Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) within the past two years
- Eligible for membership as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
- Previous hospital or public health experience will be advantageous, as well as demonstrated competency in the assessment and interpretation of video fluoroscopy
- Passionate about providing safe, evidence-based, and high-quality care
- Dedicated to delivering patient centred care and patient advocacy
- A collaborative, empathetic team player who leads by example and contributes positively to team culture
- A team approach and ability to lead by example
- A flexible mindset and willingness to work in different areas as required
