About the Role
Join our team as an Occupational Therapist in Adult Mental Health on a part time (32 hours per week), fixed term basis until February 2026, working at Atherton Road Hub based at Oakleigh.

This role offers the opportunity to deliver safe, evidence-based clinical care within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment. You will work autonomously within your scope of practice to assess, plan, and implement consumer-centred interventions, while also providing specialist advice to peers and supporting equitable access to care. You’ll contribute to clinical leadership by supervising junior staff and students, driving quality improvement initiatives, and championing the integration of digital health technologies. A commitment to professional development, cultural sensitivity, and collaborative practice is essential, as is active engagement in the ongoing evolution of healthcare delivery at Monash Health.

About Us
The Clayton Mobile Support & Treatment Team comprises a multidisciplinary team of case managers including registered psychiatric nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers. The case managers are supported by a consultant psychiatrist, a junior doctor (medial officer / registrar), peer worker and family/carer worker. The Mobile Support and Treatment Team provides intensive recovery-oriented treatment to consumers experiencing a range of mental health problems, with clients seen both at the clinic and in their own environments.

The aim of the program is to provide comprehensive mental health care that considers all aspects of a person’s needs and includes the carer’s and family’s involvement and support.

The service operates from a community clinic between the hours of 8.30am – 20.30 pm Monday - Sunday.

About You
You are a proactive and innovative Allied Health professional who brings a strong evidence-based approach to clinical care and service improvement. You collaborate effectively with consumers and colleagues to solve problems and drive positive change.

With a solid understanding of data and digital health, you use analytics to inform clinical practice, support research and quality improvement, and contribute to the development of new healthcare solutions. You are committed to continuous learning and applying best practices to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Education & licence requirements are as follows:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapist or Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent
  • Current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy, with no restrictions (cannot have a non-practising registration)

In Return

  • Salary packaging – increase your take-home pay with generous salary packaging options.
