About the Role
The purpose of this role is to maintain and enhance Monash Health’s clinical costing function by ensuring the timeliness, accuracy and quality of costing information. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining automated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows, integrating new source systems, and building analytical tools and reports that support continuous improvement in data quality, costing methodologies, and revenue allocation.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in complex data environments, solving problems, and collaborating with diverse finance, clinical and operational teams. You will contribute to optimising costing processes and enhancing how data is leveraged across the organisation.

About You
You are an analytical, detail-oriented data professional with strong technical capability and a passion for improving data quality, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency. You bring experience working with complex datasets, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
Qualifications / Registrations / Licences:

Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Information Technology, Finance, Statistics or Data Analytics.

Additional training or certifications in data engineering, health analytics, or business intelligence are desirable.
Technical Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
-
Strong SQL skills and proficiency in managing large datasets.

Advanced skills in data visualisation tools, with experience in Power BI highly regarded.

Strong experience in analysing data and interpreting results to support decision-making.
-
Demonstrated project and time-management experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver tasks on time.
-
Knowledge of the health system and health services.

Experience in case mix funding and costing is desirable.

Ability to work both independently and effectively within a small team.
-
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
