About the Role
We are currently seeking an Injury Management Specialist to join our Health, Safety and Wellbeing team at Monash Health. This is a full-time position supporting our injured employees and senior leaders across our organization in Victoria. This is a hybrid position working from a tertiary site and home. Your role is to effectively support and assist employees with work related injuries and conditions to recovery at work and achieve position health outcomes.
Your main duties will include:

Providing expertise advice and guidance to injured employees relating to their workers compensation claims.

Developing and coordinating return to work plans to support injured employees.

Working in collaboration with a range of stakeholders which include managers, treating health practitioners and the WorkSafe agent.

Educating and coaching managers/leaders on how to support injured employees recover at work.

Developing appropriate strategies to effectively manage claims costs and the high risks associated.
About You:

Relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing or equivalent discipline.

At least 3 – 5 years’ work experience in injury management relating to occupational rehabilitation, claim management and/or return to work.

Demonstrated understanding of the workers compensation legislation, which includes the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.

A current driver’s licence.
