About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient-focused Grade 2 Dietitian to join our team on a part-time, ongoing basis (0.32 EFT / 24 hours per fortnight), based at Monash Health Community Springvale.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated clinician who is looking for a new challenge and is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
In this role, you will provide dietetic services within Monash Health Community to support improved patient outcomes and facilitate safe and timely discharge where appropriate. You will work collaboratively as part of the Nutrition and Dietetics team and broader multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based clinical care.
Your responsibilities will also include contributing to student education and workforce development through teaching and supervision of undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, mentoring colleagues, and participating in research and quality improvement initiatives. In addition, you will contribute to food service activities, administrative duties, and other portfolio responsibilities as required.
The role includes conducting both centre-based and telehealth consultations. Flexibility is required, as you may be asked to work across different clinical areas and Monash Health campuses as needed. This may occur on a temporary, ad hoc, or ongoing basis.
- Experience supporting clients with chronic health conditions using a self-management model in both group and individual settings
- Proven ability to contribute to change initiatives using specialist knowledge, while working both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated expertise in organisation, time management, planning, and priority setting, with innovative problem-solving skills applied to patient care and service delivery
- Exceptional organisation, time management, and planning skills, with a proven ability to prioritise effectively and solve problems creatively
- Hold a Dietitians Australia accredited dietetics degree or hold a Dietitians Australia mutually recognised dietetics degree from New Zealand or have passed the Dietitians Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) process
- Eligible for registration with the APD program with Dietitians Australia
- At least 2 years of relevant professional practice, preferably with adult clients from culturally diverse backgrounds
- Current Drivers Licence
