About the Role

Join our team as a Grade 2 Dietitian on a part-time, fixed-term (0.60 EFT / 45.6 hours per fortnight) basis until 27 September 2026 within our Community Rehabilitation Program. Job-share opportunities are also considered.   

 

This role is ideal for a Grade 2 dietician who is looking to join a collaborative team or an experienced Grade 1 looking to step into a grade 2 opportunity and thrives in diverse settings, enjoys variety and is passionate about achieving positive health outcomes for our clients. This role will see you treat a wide range of clients with varying clinical presentations including: malnutrition, weight management, oncology, cardiac, pulmonary, gastroenterology, diabetes, and many more. This is a great opportunity to diversify your skillset with access to clinical support and mentoring to develop and grow your skills and confidence working with a broad range of client populations and presentations within the community. You will be also be an integral part of the wider Monash Health, Nutrition and Dietetics team and will have access to support and opportunities to advance your career.   

 

Be part of the Springvale and Dandenong Community Rehabilitation teams, mainly based at Springvale, with some travel required across Monash Health sites.

 

This role will see you:   

  • Work across a variety of clinical specialisms providing evidence based care to our clients   
  • Work as part of a knowledgeable and supportive interdisciplinary team   
  • Learn, grow and expand your knowledge within an experienced, supportive team   
  • Champion the Dietetic profile and importance of nutrition care    
  • Establish strong relationships within the multidisciplinary Nursing & Allied Health team to optimise nutrition care for our clients   
  • Empower the team to advocate for Dietetics for our clients as clinically appropriate    
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to foster a positive team culture that thrives on growth, learning and accountability

Community Rehabilitation offers both home and centre based therapy. The Dietetics team within Community Rehabilitation at Monash Health is expanding. We are an inclusive, experienced team of Dietitians offering client-centred, goal driven rehabilitation services maximising independence and well-being following acute illness or injury.    

 

We work closely and collaboratively with an experienced multidisciplinary team to achieve our client’s rehabilitation goals providing quality home and centre-based therapy. We aim to deliver a very high standard of care, making a positive impact to every client we treat.

Mandatory Requirements:   

  • Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics or Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics (or recognised equivalent)   
  • Eligible for membership of the Dietitians Australia (DA) and the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) program   
  • Experience working with clients in a rehabilitation or community setting   
  • Current drivers licence
