About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist to work in our Community Rehabilitation Program on a full-time, fixed-term basis until June 2027. Predominately based at Dandenong Springvale Community Rehabilitation. 

 

This role is ideal for an experienced Physiotherapist looking to take the next step into leadership and who thrives in a fast paced setting, enjoys diversity and variety and is passionate about achieving positive health outcomes for our clients. Being responsible for working within the Community Rehabilitation and leading delegated responsibilities to provide best practice patient care, achieve maximal operational effectiveness, develop organisational competencies, and create strong partnerships within and outside Monash Health. The Senior Clinician is a core part of the community rehabilitation leadership team along with the Team leader as well as integral part of the multidisciplinary team.

 

The key responsibilities also include leading and participating in teaching and supervision of students, mentoring and/or supervision of staff, research and quality clinical project activities and administrative responsibilities and portfolios as delegated.  

 

This role will see you: 

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise, ensuring that the Physiotherapy service within the team is coordinated, priotised and fairly distributed
  • Provide clinical education and supervision for Physiotherapy and students
  • Provide high levels of specialist knowledge, secondary consultation, advice or guidance to other clinicians to support safe and effective consumer-centred care
  • Support the manager and senior clinicians in the provision of leadership in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Support leadership to achieve sustainable delivery of services within budgeted resources

Mandatory requirements of the role: 

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or recognised equivalent degree
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Physiotherapy Board of Australia (practicing, no restrictions)
  • Working towards, or completion, of relevant post graduate study
  • Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, including involvement in relevant Special Interest Group/s
  • Current driver’s license
