About Monash Health Pathology Service
Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 6 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, Victorian Heart Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There is currently 22 collection locations based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services. You will be joining Monash Health at an exciting time as we work in partnership with Alfred Health to be the premier shared public pathology service in Victoria. As a member of the pathology team you will be helping shape the direction of the partnership
About the Role
We are currently seeking a Medical Scientist to work within the multi-disciplinary core laboratory located at Wonthaggi Hospital.
Role Requirements:

The laboratory offers a 24 hour service.

On-site operational hours are 0700-2300 with on-call from 2300-0800.

The role will include out of hours shifts, weekends, on call and public holiday shifts.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in all shifts and on call rosters.

This position is for a temporary Parental Leave contract for 12 months.
What you need to know:

The successful applicant will have a Degree in Applied Science (MLS) or recognised equivalent with experience in a multi-disciplinary laboratory being desirable.

Applicants with Morphology skills will be well regarded.
